BEING an interested reader of Les Gent's 'Looking Back' pages, it was with surprise I saw the picture of 'The Old Grammar School' at Moon Street, dated 1907.
Not one car is seen to be parked. On closer look I noted a uniformed figure in the bottom right hand corner of the picture. Could this, I thought, be the first ever Traffic Warden in Bolton -- obviously doing a good job?
Am I an idiot, you may be asking. Perhaps, but could this be the near future?
