RADCLIFFE Boro had a major say in the Unibond League Division One title race last night with a 1-0 victory at table-toppers Bradford Park Avenue.

Boro started the game at a cracking pace and took the lead on nine minutes, when Lee Kissock won the ball on the edge of the opposition penalty area, and laid it off for Neil Hardy to score with a precise finish into the bottom corner.

The home side rallied and hit the crossbar, but found the visitor's defence superbly marshalled by man of the match Gus Wilson, and on the odd occasion they did get through goalkeeper Danny Hurst showed he has shaken off any lingering effects of his recent injury.

It was a superb all round performance from Boro, in which they worked extremely hard despite having had a gruelling four games in eight days leading up to last weekend.

They harried the home side throughout the 90 minutes and threw them out of their stride.

Boro now entertain Lincoln United on Saturday.

Ramsbottom United entertain Skelmersdale United tonight, ko 7.45pm.
