I SHOULD think the whole nation must be appalled and distressed, or it should be, at how foot and mouth has been allowed to rage out of control by the miserable failings again of this government.

And the way this PM struts around, like a misunderstood Messiah it's anybody's guess what his next disaster will be? Had all of this been the plague, no doubt we'd all have been given an aspirin and been told to stand in a queue at the NHS.

In troubled times you would expect an alternative. If there is, then surely that alternative would have to improve on their present political force. And, for the sake of common sense alone, it's worth a try, if only to restore some reasonable good direction!

To keep on this present path is only going to lead to civil unrest and upheaval.
