RAMSBOTTOM United picked up three precious points in the NWCL Division One title race with a 1-0 home win over Abbey Hey.
Russell Brierley got the vital only goal of the game on 66 minutes when he scrambled the ball over the line in a goalmouth scramble. The goal was the 28th of the season for the man of the match striker. The Rams are back in action again tomorrow night with Skelmersdale United the visitors to the Riverside Ground.
