A WELL-LOVED care worker from Little Lever has retired after working in the community for 28 years.
Grandmother Brenda Price, a keen ballroom dancer, worked for the Home Care department of the Social Services, caring for people who need help to live independently in their own homes.
She celebrated her years of service with relatives and colleagues at The Jolly Carter pub. They say her work will be sadly missed in the village.
Colleague Kath Hardman, who has worked with Mrs Price for 18 years, said: " She will be a great loss to people in the community and to her work colleagues as well. She has a heart of gold and a great sense of fun." She is well known and very well liked."
