I SEE that the Council have employed 'Police State' tactics in Back Knowsley Street, Bolton, hounding the motorist for parking.
When they get a uniform on, these pompous people can't wait to pounce. The letters in the paper have shown this to be the case.
I should have warned my daughter about parking there. She paid £4 to park. Her time was up at 2.15pm. She was back at 2.05pm. She had a pram and two children aged two-and-a-half and six months. The little boy had to go to the toilet. She practically ran to Debenhams and ran back.
As she got to the car, this pompous and ignorant man saw her running with a pram and put a ticket on for £40. She said -- "thank you very much". He just said -- "It's my job." She was about four minutes over. I really do think they have to book so many in a day.
The council are pathetic in allowing this to happen. I thought we had got rid of these little dictators in the last war.
