WHAT a class act!

Nohow Productions have always delivered polished performances and this 10th anniversary offering is no exception.

Thirteen singers -- all excellent soloists -- staged an evening which charted Nohow's charity fund-raising years. In fine style, they delivered 46 songs.

They performed before a backdrop of dramatic sparkling silver strands. Full marks to stage designers Don Howcroft, Anne Cocking and John Cocking.

Malcolm Smith provided colourful lights which added depth and impact to the stage.

Producer/director Nora Howcroft ensured the show was fast-moving and entertaining. And musical director Sarah Day was clearly an asset to the production.

The singers were Paul Brennan, Connie Rorrison, Robert Margolis, Kath Turton, Marian Henrys, Andrew Turton, Jennifer Lee, Sarah Day, David Wilson, Bill Sharples, Irene Lunt, Karen Lunt and Vicki Wilson.

Don Howcroft narrated in his usual relaxed and professional style. Songs recalled Nohow's productions from A Little Light music in 1990 to Nunsense this year. All were delivered in style. My personal favourites included Ol' Man River, Send in the Clowns, O Holy Night, Pantomime and Holier than Thou.

After the first act, one member of the audience declared: "I love it." Nohow can have no better tribute after 10 years. Make sure you are on their mailing list for the next decade. Doreen Crowther
