I REPLY to the 'Cash Shock' letter (BEN, November 1).
The person concerned states he was refused a cash payment of £70.50 for goods at a certain store on Tonge Moor Road, Bolton.
Without mentioning the name, I know the store in question. He was told by an assistant that he could not buy anything with a card.
She should have explained that the card he needed was a store membership card, and NOT a credit card.
On production of the store card, any items can be paid for with cash. Unfortunately, they missed a sale.
