THERE'S going to be some tough talk going on later this month, when a title holding powerlifter checks in.

World champion and Guinness Book record holder Arthur White is visiting Clayton Green Leisure Centre, near Leyland, on Sunday, November 26 at 7pm to demonstrate his skills -- and give some strong words about his life.

And the evening should prove very enlightening -- as Mr White and the Tough Talk colleagues who will be travelling with him -- also share their Christian beliefs.

Tim Farnhill, spokesman for Preston Vineyard church, organised the evening.

He said: "This will eb a great event. The evening will be a bit different and creative and there will also be three powerlifting demonstrations. After they have done their stuff they will then give their story.

It really does have the feel more of a show than a talk and there is definitely plenty of interaction with the audience."

For five years the group have travelled nationwide giving their 'Tough Talk' presentation during any spare time they find.

Despite each of the team having full-time jobs, they have found the time to feature on Channel 5 and in addition have also had a book of their experiences published.

Tim continued: "The group met through their enjoyment of powerlifting.

"These were all people who were in varying degrees of trouble in society -- some of them had major problems such as drug and alcohol addictions -- and they all worked as bouncers and minders and so on.

"But they all found Jesus at different times.

"One of the guys experienced this change in his life and he just bumped into someone else who had a similar experience and so on.

"Gradually the team have built up a network of people who relate to their experience."

The free event -- which lasts about an hour -- was organised after a member of the Preston Vineyard church saw a promotional video for the group.

He showed it to Tim and they jointly decided to arrange the visit which they are sure will prove to be a big hit.

"We are sure that whoever comes will have an entertaining evening," said Tim.

"The stories are really amazing and worth hearing."
