DO any politicians ever truly support the people that support them? I can understand dedication to a worthwhile political cause, for the good of the people.

But certainly not a dedication to arrogance and a contempt for people's right to protest against high taxation. That only ever over-burdens the industrious. At the end of the day, it really comes down to 'what's in the bank, Frank?', as far as any Government is concerned. But, whatever is there has been put there by the people, or by the results of their industrious lives!

This useless, inexperienced Prime Minister, whose political antics up to now have been laughable and pathetic since 1997, would rather ignore just rights to protest against high fuel taxation, and bring one section of society against the other. Yet both sections are burdened by the same thing -- a clever move to shift the blame. And if allowed a second term as Prime Minister, it wouldn't surprise me if his legal close advisers advised that measures be introduced to make any form of protest illegal in future. After all, you must not go against what Tony wants!

But what Tony wants is high recognition in Europe and presidential status, make no mistake. And he'll achieve that simply by using the gullibility of the British people.

This weak man's contempt for history and his silly belief in radical change will, in the end, be his downfall.

Assuming, of course, that plain common sense prevails.
