A FREE booklet, All About Depression, is available from the Mental Health Foundation for anyone who is feeling down or supporting a friend or relative with depression.
Around one in six people experience some kind of depression during their lifetime which can be triggered by stressful things such as unemployment, leaving home, the death of a family member or long term illness.
The booklet describes the symptoms and the ways of coping with depression, and there is a step by step guide on how to find specialist support.
For a free copy, log on to the website on: www.mentalhealth.org.uk/bkdepress.htm, phone 020 7535 7420, or send a 33p SAE to: Information, Mental Health Foundation, 20/21 Cornwall terrace, London, NW1 4QL.
