FIVE people have been arrested following thefts of signposts taken from a popular country walk in Bury.
The signposts, believed to be made of brass, showed directions along the popular lrwell Valley Trail which takes in scenic walks through Radcliffe, Whitefield and Drinkwater Park, Prestwich.
The five were arrested at 4am today after a sharp-eyed policeman on patrol saw a group of men acting suspiciously in Radcliffe. They were taken into custody and are currently being questioned.
