OVERALL it was a good day's work by us.

You don't want to lose your first match when you go up and we can take heart from this result.

I thought we were a little tentative in the first half, which was understandable, and our ball retention wasn't good.

I thought Bolton just about shaded the opening 45 minutes but we were much better in the second and could have perhaps have gone on to win but a draw, I suppose, was reasonably fair.

The penalty was probably the kick up the backside we needed although when the ref blew I thought he'd given us the free kick. The Bolton man, whoever he was, was pulling our man all over the place.

The lad then goes on and scores but the ref doesn't give it but awards the penalty. I just couldn't work it out.

Overall though you have to take into consideration it's a derby match and we've come to the Reebok against a side that finished in the top six last season and I think they'll be thereabouts again this time.

I didn't put Little on at the start because he's been injured and he only played half a game at Penrith last Tuesday. But the kid can play, everyone in football knows that.

One swallow though doesn't make a summer and he has to maintain that level of performance.

I'm not one for singling players out but I think on this occasion Glen did particularly well - but so too did the back three, the midfield and the other lads up front. The goalkeeper also did well, one or two little flutters but goalies are like that anyway.

We've got to play Wimbledon next and then go to Wolves but that's the challenge and we're up for it. If we play like we did today then we'll be a match for most sides.

The players gave me everything they had and played with a lot of skill. It was a good performance.

The fans were terrific too. If you haven't seen our mob before they're all just a different class. They've always been very passionate about their football and they are very important to us. If we play like that we'll be a match for most
