YOUR bedroom used to be just the place where you slept. Now it's likely to be one of the most attractive and functional rooms in the house.

And this style revolution can be firmly placed at the feet of people like "Changing Rooms" designer Linda Barker. You know, the pretty, Northern one who doesn't have long dark hair, floral suits and a double-barrel name.

Now, she's teamed up with homewear producers Rosebys and, in association with Crown Wallcoverings and Home Furnshings, has come up with a stunning new bed linen collection.

It comes in three designs. "Poppy" is one and, as Linda explains:"Using this single stem flower as the focus, I've combined strong, energetic colours with textured looks to create a design inspired by Nature."

Then there's "Sari" -- "by mixing striking colours and hand embroidery this vibrant look has been inspired by ethnic influences."

And there's "Feather", which is calm and subtle and, as Linda states "evokes the feel of luxy and comfort. I've combined delicate feathers with a subtle pinstripe to create an elegant and classic bedding design."

They all come in two colourways -- Poppy in hot pink and lilac, Sari in blue and spice and Feather in natural and lilac.

Prices start at £19.99 for a single duvet set, and single Oxford pillowcases cost around £5.99. Each range can be co-ordinated with dedicated borders at £5.99 a roll.

The Linda Barker bed linen range is available through Rosebys stores. To find your nearest, call freephone 0800-052-0493 or visit the Rosebys' website at www.rosebys.com
