IF you've never sampled Pimm's, you've never lived!

The drink which seems to suggest tennis clubs and balmy summer days is perfect as a thirst-quencher, in good company.

It's not elitist these days, either. Pimm's is great in the garden, served in a big, ice-cold jug piled high with fruit, ice, lemonade and Pimm's No.1 Cup.

It does, however, come with its own "rules."

To make a Classic Pimm's, take a long chilled glass and fill a third full with ice. Pour over a generous measure of Pimm's No.1 Cup, add three measures of quality lemonade and stir gently.

Top off with half a slice or orange and lemon, a slice of cucumber and finish with a sprig of fresh mint.

If you're drinking in the evening and want to add an extra kick to your Pimm's, try a Pimm's Turbo. Take a tall glass, pint or jug and fill to one third with ice.

Pour over generous measures of Pimm's and your favourite brand of gin. Mix with three parts lemonade and garnish with a wedge of lime.

And if you've got something to celebrate, there's Pimm's Royale. Add a measure of Pimm's to a champagne flute and top up with champagne.

Cheers!
