THE funeral of DJ Sara Cox's stepfather will take place next Wednesday in Little Lever.
Ken Costello, who died on Wednesday night, aged 51, will be cremated at Overdale after a service at Christ Church on Mytham Road.
Mr Costello leaves a wife, Jackie, and stepchildren Yvonne, Robert, David, Dorothy and Sara.
Sara, high profile and controversial presenter of the BBC Radio One Breakfast Show, was absent from the programme yesterday and today.
Her family has requested people expressing messages of sympathy to make a donation to Macmillan Nurses or Marie Curie Cancer Care rather than send flowers.
The funeral will be at 1.30pm and all inquiries are being directed through Silletts Funeral Directors on 861300.
