PROOF of the popularity of derby fever was underlined today when Wanderers placed an all-ticket restriction on their second home game of the season - against Preston on Saturday, August 26.

A big increase in season ticket sales plus the news that newly-promoted Burnley have sold their allocation of more than 5,000 means the season will kick off with a Reebok crowd well above last season's average of 14,200.

And it should be the same story for Preston game.

Lifeline members will have priority for tickets, which go on sale on Monday with open sale starting next Wednesday.

Tickets for the game at West Brom on Saturday week are now on open sale with adults at £14 and concessions £8 (pay on the day prices will be £15 and £8.50 respectively). Incentives are on offer for fans travelling to Macclesfield for the second leg of the Worthington Cup tie on September 5 (ko 7.45). Tickets, which are now on sale to season ticket holders, are priced at £8 and £4 if purchased before August 22. After that date prices go up to £10 and £6. Lifeline members have priority from Monday with open sale starting next Wednesday.
