RADCLIFFE Borough entertain a star-packed Southport side tonight at Stainton Park.
The Conference club last season appointed former Soton, Liverpool and England centre-half Mark Wright as manager and he is set to play alongside other "name" signings in his squad Shaun Teale (ex Villa), Mike Marsh (Liverpool) and Andy Linigan (Arsenal).
Boro' manager Kevin Glendon is set to field the same Boro'
squad he used in last week's 6-3 defeat by a Manchester United XI.
"Paul Mullin and Rick Battersby are not yet available so I'll be sticking by the same lads we used for the Bury and United games" he said.
"Having a Conference side here tonight, especially Southport with so many stars, is a real treat for us and our fans.
"The United game was just a fabulous experience. They sent a team of Under-21 stars down here and the football they turned on was just incredible to witness.
"By half time they were 5-0 up but fortunately we rallied a bit in
the second half.
"It was just so good to see. Our players will have learned ever such a lot from the game.
"I learnt a lot from it. It was fabulous. I've been on to Phil Brown again this week and we are now going to schedule the Bolton Wanderers fixture for some week during the early season when we both have blank midweeks."
