A BOLTON trio, well groomed for success, is turning to the public for help.

Jeanette Powell from Lostock is currently riding high with success on Our Blue Boy, a seven year old gelding owned by Alison Thorp from Blackrod.

However, despite her success, Jeanette, who rides for other local owners is in need of sponsorship.

She recently qualified for the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead in Sussex on Our Blue Boy in the Open Working Hunter, by gaining second place at the Wetherby Agricultural Show.

In addition, the pair, who are more commonly known on the showjumping circuit, have qualified for the Festival of Showjumping 2000.

Mrs Thorp has bred Our Blue Boy, whose stable name is Seamus.

She said: "Wetherby was Jeanette and Our Blue Boy's second working hunter outing so they did particularly well.

"But sponsorship is always needed for these events due to the large cost of travelling to and competing at contests like these.

"We have had some help and would like to thank Richard Hough Ltd, Yates Farm, Peter Bevis Ltd and Webb Arena who have been particularly helpful."

However, Jeanette, who owns three of her own horses and rides several others in a variety of disciplines for various owners is currently looking for a more permanent sponsor.

Anyone able to help can contact her on 07930 345120.
