A BOLTON pub is on the look out for Big Brother contestant Nichola Holt's version of a typical local lass.

Greg Mullins, who owns the Crown and Cushion in Mealhouse Lane, was horrified when he heard how, in the Channel 4 show, the shaven headed 29-year-old from Bradshaw had described a typical Bolton woman's dress as shell suit, white socks and high heels.

He reckons finding a local woman dressed like that is rarer than hen's teeth and believes the only place for clothing like that is the back of the wardrobe.

But in an effort to find a few closet shell suiters, Greg is offering free weekend admission and a bottle of bubbly to the first six people dressed in the outfit, complete with socks and high heels, to totter through the door.

And to remind people of the early 90s look, Greg is going rummaging through secondhand shops to try to find the outfits for his ticket sellers to wear when out and about in the town centre this weekend.

"We might start a new trend," he joked. "I was appalled at what she said. I have yet to come across someone dressed like that. We are not the most cosmopolitan town but we are a bit more advanced than that."

To make the Crown and Cushion offer fair to both genders, Greg says the bottle of bubbly offer is also open to any man brave enough to squeeze into the tacky outfit.
