GUITARIST Neil Smith from Bolton has been selected to play at Glamis Castle, Scotland, during the celebrations for the Queen Mother's 100th birthday next month. One of Britain's most respected guitarists, Neil Smith has toured in 40 countries and has records, tapes, CDs, videos and dozens of radio and TV broadcasts to his credit.

Recent trips have been to Holland and to the United Arab Emirates.

He has played a sell-out concert at Leicester's Guildhall and the opening classical concert at the International UK Guitar Festival.

This year he is visiting Russia for concerts and classes in Moscow and the North, Japan for the Kobe International Festival, Holland for the launch of his latest CD and the USA for the seventh time.

Next year he plans tours in Brazil, Syria, Norway and Sweden.
