THROUGH your letters page, may I thank the Bolton Evening News and all your readers for the wonderful support given to the 'Fun Day 2000' dog rally, organised by the Irish Wolfhound Society.
Despite the bad weather, your readers and their pets came along, making the event an enjoyable and rewarding day, with £501 being raised for Vision Aid, to help with their Centre Fund for visually impaired children.
We are especially grateful to those readers who came into Bolton's Ye Olde Pastie Shoppe, with donations of prizes for the raffle, or tombola, refreshments and offers of sponsorship; all of which played a major part in making the day such a success.
