METROLINK has opened in Eccles town centre.
The arrival of the new tram system will continue the on-going development of the area.
Trams will run throughout the day, seven days a week, and provide passenger transport to Salford Quays and Manchester City Centre.
The new route for the section of tram system is: Broadway, Salford Quays, South Langworthy Road, Eccles New Road, through an underpass at Ladywell Roundabout, and finishing at the terminus on Regent Road, next to the bus station.
