IT'S excellent news that Vision Aid is a quarter of the way to reaching its survival target.
In just six weeks, the charity has raised £100,000 towards the cost of new premises rather than close.
Among those who have contributed are BEN readers who have shown again how generous and caring they are.
Director General of Vision Aid, Lesley Green has paid tribute to them and said that without those readers, the charity would not have been able to get this far.
But Vision Aid is still desperate for money and we urge anyone who can help to do so.
The charity is one of the most important children's eye charities in the country and it must be saved.
