A TALENTED teenage dancer fears she may be unable to fulfil her dreams because of the cost of tuition.

Leanne Templeman, aged 16, has won a place at the acclaimed Phil Winston's Theatre Dance Workshop in Blackpool -- but it costs more than £100 a week to attend.

Her mum has raised enough money to pay about half the fees, but unless more cash is found -- hopefully through sponsorship -- Leanne won't be able to go and her dancing career could come to a premature end.

It would be a huge disappointment to the former Canon Slade pupil, who is dreaming of becoming a famous dancer.

Her mum, Carol, who used to be a ballroom dancer herself, said: "It's a shame because she is very good dancer and she wants to do that as a career and work in the theatre.

"We've managed to raise most of the money from friends and family but there is still some way to go.

"Ideally we'd like to get her sponsorship from a business and hopefully someone reading this will be able to help."

Leanne, of Downgreen Road, Harwood, has performed in a number of shows at venues including Blackpool Opera House and the Palace Theatre in Manchester, as well as the Albert Halls in Bolton.

She is an expert at most kinds of dance, including ballet, tap, modern, and jazz, and is a pupil at the Dawn Dawson's Bolton Academy of Dance and Stage.

Mum Carol -- who has two other children, Christopher, 14, and Nathan, six -- is now hoping a company will respond to her plea and offer financial support.
