THE funeral of a soldier found suffocated with a plastic bag over his head will be held next week.
Fusilier Adrian Ashworth, aged 27, was found slumped in his cell at a military corrective centre in Colchester, Essex.
Private Ashworth, who was known as Ashie, leaves a partner, Michelle.
A service and committal will be held at Overdale West Chapel at 10.30am on Tuesday.
Private Ashworth was found dead last Thursday just days before he was due to face a military court.
Army officers will not reveal the charges he was facing.
Private Ashworth served with the Second Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned.
