TYLDESLEY and Wigan Wasps swimmer Khalid Jhugroo travelled to Canada with the England Youth squad for the Keyano International Meet alongside swimmers from Canada, China, Japan, Poland and the USA. Khalid, a pupil at Fred Longworth High School, Tyldesley achieved success in the 14 year age group events collecting a gold medal in the 100m breast-stroke (PB), silver in the 200m Individual Medley and bronze in the 200m breast-stroke and 200m freestyle (PB).
Khalid also took part in the under 17 year 1500m freestyle finishing in 5th place.
