By Steve Bott A CONTINGENT from Bury FC will be in Llanelli tonight casting their eyes over the cream of some of Britain's non-league talent.

England clash with Wales in a non-league international and the Bury party, made up of chairman Terry Robinson, assistant player-manager Steve Redmond and Community Officer and youth team coach Andy Feeley will be on the look-out for some bargain buys as they look towards team building for next season.

With goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, skipper Nick Daws, winger Adrian Littlejohn, centre back Chris Swailes and midfield man Chris Billy rumoured to be on their way out sooner rather than later, Bury may well need to recruit one or two experienced players in the summer to complement their emerging youngsters.

Playing up front for England will be the Conference's leading scorer Justin Jackson, who has hit 29 goals this season.

Jackson, 25, has League experience with Notts County, where he played alongside Chris Billy, and at Halifax. He is keen to get back into league soccer and has issued a "come and get me plea" to Bury.

"I would definitley be interested in a move to Bury, especially as they are in the Second Division, " said the Huddersfield-based striker.

"I don't know much about them, but the fact that they don't have much money doesn't put me off."

Jackson has already attracted one bid of £40,000 from Conference side Doncaster. Scarborough and Carlisle are also thought to be interested, and his club, Morecambe, are reckoned to be prepared to accept between £70-100,000 for him.

There will be several other players on show tonight, but goalkeeper Glyn Garner, who had a trial with Bury recently, is in the Wales squad, although is unlikely to play.

Garner plays for League of Wales side Llanelli, who are managed by former Bury, Burnley and Wales winger, Leighton James.

Garner is likely to be kept out of the side by Tony Pennock, who has been called up from Somerset-based Yeovil Town, a a rare move as Wales normally keep to Wales-based players when selecting their squad.

Not surprisingly, England include several players from Conference champions Kidderminster Harriers in their side.

But all eyes will be on Jackson as he attempts to continue his goalscoring exploits and attract a new professional contract for next season.

Meanwhile, Bury have released five players following the announcement of manager Andy Preece's retained list.

Looking for new clubs are utility man Paul Williams, defenders Brian Linighan and Paul Challinor and winger Kemajl Avdiu.

Mark Donnelly will also be a free agent when his current loan spell at non-league Workington expires.
