I AM writing in reply to James Whelan's response concerning my letter where I regarded the suggestion of a cycle tax as being a ridiculous idea.
He believes that cycle lanes are a waste of time and he would like to know my opinions on our Council Tax money being wasted to fund them.
Well, being a cyclist I disagree that this money is being wasted and referring back to my point that I made in my original letter, the whole idea of these cycle/bus lanes is to reduce the amount of traffic on the road which would, no doubt, reduce the amount of Council Tax spending on repairs, road widening schemes etc.
