CINEMA fans in Bolton will be the first in the country to see Disney's new film The Tigger Movie.

A special charity screening of the new movie, which is expected to be a big Easter holiday hit, will take place at the Warner Village Cinema complex at Middlebrook.

The showing tomorrow morning comes nine days ahead of the full national premiere in London on April 10.

In the new film Tigger earns his stripes by heading off across Hundred Acre Wood in search of a towering striped trunk.

But he eventually realises that his true family is Winnie the Pooh, Roo and Piglet.

Full proceeds from the sale of the 350 tickets will be donated to the Hindley and District Junior Football Club.

The club is trying to raise funds to improve and develop the junior soccer facilities at Park Road in Hindley.

Hindley club secretary Tom Harrison said: "Every member and volunteer from the club are so grateful to Warner Village Cinemas commitment for helping to raise funds that will help our club grow."

The club has more than 500 junior members, aged 5-17, organised in 30 mini teams and 22 full sided teams with 52 local voluntary team managers.

Warner Village Cinemas Bolton manager Andy Stone said: "We are committed to providing the best in entertainment as well as supporting the local community at every opportunity we can."

Tickets for the show cost £3.50. Young cinema-goers will have the chance to win special prize packs at the screening.
