I SYMPATHISE with Christine Morris's unfortunate experiences on her first visit to The Water Place (Your Views, March 16), and can only hope that by now, she's received an explanation or at least been offered a complimentary session at the Pool, by way of compensation.
The Water Place, in fact, happens to be the most convenient venue in the Bolton area for many people. While there are imperfections in cleanliness, I believe that this is largely due to a minority of its users, who could make the effort to respect the facilities, and thus create less problems and extra work for the staff.
I hope this lady, especially as a newcomer to Bolton, will be encouraged to give The Water Place another chance, as I am just one of many regular users of the pool, who really enjoy what it has to offer.
