BOLTON will be honoured for only the second time when Sheila Holt becomes captain of the Lancashire County Veterans Ladies Golf Association in 2001. She has been secretary for the past eight years and will take over as vice captain next year.
Old Links member Joan Cheadle who held the office in 1983, was president 1995-97 and Northern Counties Veterans captain in 1987.
Sheila joined Dunscar in 1971, became captain in 1978 and was secretary for many years. She has served on the East Lancs Committe and Lancashire Executive and in 1990 became President of the Bolton Ladies Championship for two years. She has been captain and president of the Bolton & District Past Captains' Association.
