ON form Chris Taylor scored an impressive win for Horwich CC on Saturday in the 40 mile Ted Mercer Mem Road Race at Ormskirk. Chris led out the sprint on the final climb, and was never challenged for victory. This win moves him up to a second category rider.
The next day Chris competed in the Lancs RC 50 mile time trial at Garstang, finishing in the top six with a time of 2hr 3mins.
The cycle cross season is now underway and Mark and Dave Leyland rode the Prescot Eagle Cross at Whiston. Mark was best placed in eighth position behind winner Mark Babtista, Klein Leisure Lakes, while Dave came home in 19th place to claim second vet.
