PLACES are still left at a Business Support Conference for the borough's ethnic minority businesses.

Richard Roberts, the head of Small and Medium Enterprise Business Research at Barclays Bank, will be speaking at the conference about the impact of the global economy on small and medium sized business.

Its aim is to highlight the many sources of advice and assistance available including grants and information technology advice.

Agencies

Workshops covering the new minimum wage, working time arrangements and on-line banking for small firms will also be available and delegates will be able to meet representatives from agencies such as Business Link, Bolton Council and the Princes Youth Business Trust from the Enterprise Network.

The conference will take place on Wednesday, September 1, at the Forte Posthouse Hotel, Beaumont Road, Bolton and is organised by Bolton Council's Ethnic Minorities Business Service, who are sponsoring the event alongside the 3D's Partnership, Business Link and Barclays Bank plc.

It is free for businesses to attend.
