BOLTON actor Stephen Billington, right, is set to stir up a storm of controversy in his new role.
Stephen, who played Coronation Street bad guy Greg Kelly, is set to cause fresh storm in a play which portrays Jesus as gay.
Stephen who once lived in New Barn Street, Halliwell, will star as Judas Iscariot in Corpus Christi at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The show includes kissing scenes as Judas seduces Jesus.
Letters of protest have already been received but Stephen has already urged audiences not to make any judgements until they have seen the play for themselves.
