TEVYE the Milkman will be thinking what he would do if he were a rich man at Adlington Community Centre next month.
From March 1 to 6, St Paul's Amateur Players will present Fiddler on the Roof.
The story, set in 1905, revolves around Reb Tevye who lives in a poor, Jewish village with his wife, Golde and five daughters.
Tevye is a good, honest man who upholds the traditions of his forefathers - keeping the Sabbath, arranging marriages with the help of the matchmaker and working hard as the head of the family.
But changes are happening, not only in the outside wordl but in his own village and within his family. Modern influences and political problems start to rock village life.
Taking part in the show are three generations of one family. There is grandmother Marion Holt, daughter Jennifer Dixon and grandchildren Matthew and Hannah Dixon.
The show starts at 7.30 pm and tickets are available from Rita Ward (01257 480144) and Tyrer's Coaches (01257 480979).
