PAUL Topham who started his stage career with St Peter's Methodist AODS has landed a top singing job with the Butlin's holiday organisation. Terry Bowden, producer of St Peter's shows, said: "We are all delighted for Paul who was only in his teens when he first played in panto for St Peter's." Theatregoers may recall seeing Paul as the dentist in Bolton Premier AODS's production of Little Shop of Horrors.
He was due to play in Horwich RMI AODS's production of Half a Sixpence next month, but has had to pull out because of his new job.
Terry said: "Paul's really sorry about having to come out of the show, but wishes the society all the best."
Paul, aged 28, from Great Lever, has worked as an entertainments manager for a holiday firm in Cyprus.
He had auditions in Leeds and London before being offered an actor/singer position with Butlin's. He started yesterday.
After training, he will be based at Bognor Regis.
