A DISABLED Elvis impersonator says he is being terrorised by a gang of teenage thugs.

Lee Weaver, who suffers from epilepsy and a brain cyst, says he feels trapped in his own home because thugs taunt him over his enthusiasm for the dead rock 'n' roll star.

The hooligans have thrown eggs at the 25-year-old's windows at his home in Tonge Old Road, Bolton, and even stolen Elvis gear from his washing line.

Distraught Mr Weaver said: "They discovered I was a big Elvis fan and they won't leave me alone.

"They come knocking on my door and have made my life an absolute nightmare.

"Every time I go out they are jeering me and abusing me."

He said the gang of around 20 teenagers have struck terror into the entire area, swearing at old people and even breaking shop windows.

His mother Sandra Weaver, aged 44, who is his carer, is also targeted by the thugs, as well as her boyfriend who is also an Elvis impersonator.

Mr Weaver and his mother have raised thousands of pounds for the charity Scope organising Elvis concerts.

The pair have even appeared on TV.

Mr Weaver said: "I've been an Elvis fan all my life.

"The house is full of Elvis memorabilia and I have a quiff.

"But people should be allowed to do what they want in their own home without fear of being attacked.

"I just think they can't accept anyone who looks different."
