WIGAN are prepared to let Craig Murdock go to Hull Sharks on a permanent basis.

The scrum-half this week joined prop Steve Barrow on a month's loan at the Boulevard as Hull are desperate to fill the number seven jersey after injury ruled out Glen Tomlinson for the season.

Coach John Monie admitted that Murdock would have a better chance playing in Super League at another club than at Wigan.

"If he can do well at Hull and they are prepared to sign him we will let him go," he confirmed.

Monie expects to name an unchanged side for Sunday's derby clash with Salford Reds at Central Park. Scrum-half Tony Smith, who missed the win at Hull, is still out with knee ligaments, and is doubtful for the vital clash at champions Bradford Bulls the following week.
