THE sky will be filled with spectacular entertainment at this year's Bolton Air Show and Gala Day.

The RAF's top display team, The Red Arrows, have been booked as a highlight of the event at British Aerospace Sports and Social Club on June 6.

Also in action for the first time at the club's sports grounds at Lostock will be the army's helicopter display team, The Blue Eagles.

A fly past by a Tornado GR1 is promised and there will be plenty of action on the ground as well, with the Royal Signals White Helmets Motor Cycle Display Team.

The Ambassadors of Borrowash Carnival Display Showband will be on show along with a fairground, beer marquee, side shows and many other attractions.

Entertainment continues into the evening with Wigan band, The Scene.

Admission starts at 12.30pm and is £2 for adults with accompanied children allowed in free.
