THE Bishop of Salford, the Rt Rev Terence Brain, has dedicated St Joseph's RC School, Horwich, after a £900,000 refit.
The Bishop led a service to bless the school and its pupils.
He was shown around the building and inspected the renovations, which included extensive roof repairs, replacement of all the old wooden windows and doors, replacement of facia boarding and much internal renovation and decoration.
Teacher Mike O'Callaghan said: "The school now has a brand new appearance which matches well with its excellent academic record.
"It is well placed to develop as a centre of excellence for the needs of local Catholic children in the 21st century."
