STAINTON Park is the venue for one of the Unibond League's top derby games tonight as Radcliffe Boro entertain Altrincham in a Premier Division fixture.

Boro desperately need league points to spark a climb away from the danger zone at the bottom of the Premier table. With two sides set to be relegated, Radcliffe have now slipped three points adrift of third from bottom Bamber Bridge.

While Barrow's continued form at the other end of the table is turning the title chase into a one-horse race, Altrincham will be just as determined to land a top three finish

Boro manager Kevin Glendon is set to line up top goalscorer Ian Lunt alongside big money signing Tony Carroll for the first time. Lunt is now fully recovered from his cartilage operation giving Boro supporters the chance to run the eye over a striking partnership could be capable of salvaging the club's Premier Division status.

Forward Jack Russell has left Stainton Park to move back to one of his former clubs Trafford. Only defender Loz Greenhalgh, out for two weeks with a calf strain, is missing from the squad.

Glendon said: "This is a really big game for us. It is the first time Altrincham have come to Stainton Park and competing against clubs of that calibre is what non League is all about."

"It's great to have virtually a full squad available because hopefully we are going to have a really big crowd and we want to put a good show on." ?
