REFORMS of the national welfare system may be long overdue, but we trust that Tony Blair's promise yesterday for consultation before proposed changes is kept.
Many local disabled people are very concerned about their financial future, fearing comprehensive swingeing cuts. It is vital that any new rules can truly discriminate between the scroungers and the genuine cases.
