BOLTON'S People's Dispensary For Sick Animals shop will soon be celebrating not one anniversary, but two.

The shop at 8/10 Ridgeway Gate, Bolton, will, on Wednesday, February 25, mark the anniversaries for both the shop and its manager.

Stella Mort, the shop manager, said: "The shop will celebrate 15 years of trading on February 25 whilst I shall be celebrating my 14th anniversary.

"Support for the shop has been brilliant and I hope it continues for many years to come."

To celebrate the day there will be special offers on books and also a tombola.

"As we celebrate our anniversary, I would be delighted to hear from anybody interested in joining the PDSA shop volunteer team," said Stella.

The PDSA also celebrated its 80th anniversary last year, after reaching its present day position as Britain's leading veterinary charity from humble beginnings in a damp cellar in London.

All PDSA shops rely on voluntary help and donations of quality stock, including clothing, bric-a-brac, books and jewellery.

Information can be obtained by phoning the PDSA freephone number on 0800 854194, or for further details on shop activities, contact Stella on 01204 396373.
