WE welcome the tough new measures to deal with under age drinkers in Bolton.
It is right that licensees know about the schemes that are run to prevent under age drinking as part of the general clampdown on young people who try to buy alcohol.
There is a problem. Some under-age youngsters, boys and girls, can easily pass for 18, but the onus is on the licensee to check ages.
