CREW members from Bolton's adopted ship HMS Beaver have made it easier for people to say "I am sailing" ... but not on the ocean wave.
The sailors worked round the clock to build a portable jetty for canoes and boats at High Rid Reservoir, Lostock.
The hard working crew members began their task on January 26 at the Youth Services at New Overdale on Chorley New Road before the rest of their shipmates arrived in Bolton for the official visit of the ship's company.
Materials were bought or discounted by Anthony Axfords, Leigh Paints, Clare Fisher and Advanced Polystyrene.
The jetty will be used by members of Bolton Council's youth services. The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Peter Birch is pictured thanking Captain Richard Ibbotson for the gift.
