Wanderers fans have the chance to put their views to some of the most powerful voices in English football.

Bolton supporters, along with all North West soccer fanatics, are being urged to have their say on the state of the game when David Mellor brings his Football Task Force to the area on Thursday.

Mellor's travelling show is aimed at picking up the feelings of the nation's supporters in the hope that they could ultimately be used to improve aspects of the national game.

Mellor, chairman of the task force, will be joined by FA chief executive Graham Kelly; Sir Roland Smith, chairman of Manchester United plc; Gordon Taylor, chief executive of the PFA and top referee Uriah Rennie.

The open meeting takes place at The Great Hall, Manchester Town Hall, Albert Square, Manchester, between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, and organisers are hoping to attract supporters of Wanderers, the two Manchester clubs, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Bury, Burnley, Blackburn and Macclesfield.

Mellor said: "Supporters will have a unique opportunity to put their questions and concerns to some of the most powerful voices in the game and make their essential contribution to the work of the Task Force."

Sports Minister Tony Banks MP added: "Our national game is on a high. Players from all over the world are desperate to sign up and play in our Premier League and Glenn Hoddle's squad will go to France later this year as one of the pro-tournament favourites.

"That said, there is still plenty of room for improvement. The series of regional visits being organised by the Football Task Force will give the fans their say on issues such as racism, ticket prices, access for the disabled and the increasing commercial aspects in the game."?
