A PRIMARY school in Worsley has earned top marks from Ofsted inspectors.
Officials visited James Brindley School in December and praised the staff and standards of teaching.
Children were achieving better than the national average in subjects such as English, maths and science, although inspectors did mention that design and technology lessons needed more attention.
Delighted headteacher Carole Knight said: "We are pleased with this report.
"There are areas where we can still make improvements and we shall work on these, but overall we are going in the right direction and can only go from strength to strength."
