THE Lancashire Authors' Association is to honour Lady Hulton, who died recently, by launching a special prize in her memory.
Lady Hulton's sister, Judy Cooke, approached the Association suggesting she could be remembered in that way because both she and her husband were very interested in all things Lancashire.
Some cash has already been put aside and it is hoped the award will be made to the Writer of the Year at the 1999 LAA Cup competitions.
