SIR: How fed up we are, of the usual Council 'opt out', no money for the Metrolink.
Everyone knows the Metrolink will pay for itself within a few years, and bring prosperity and an influx of shoppers to Bolton town centre, which will be much needed, when you consider the new Dumplington site a few miles away.
Currently, to commute to Bolton, Bury residents have to catch a train to Manchester and another connection to Bolton.
All Greater Manchester towns will eventually be joined by Metrolink. Will Bolton be the only town left standing alone?
